Customers with chronic hepatitis C genotype 2 were randomized to get subcutaneous shots of ropeginterferon alfa-2b biweekly or the traditional pegylated interferon alfa-2b weekly for 24 days, coupled with ribavirin. The primary endpoint would be to measure the safety and antiviral potency of ropeginterferon alfa-2b by the non-inferiority in sustained virologic response at 12 months after therapy. The collective incidence of unfavorable activities of special interest was also notably greater in the control team.
